The inter-relationship model is framed by the Centre for Local Economic Strategies’ (CLES) research over the last ten years about the resilience of place. The CLES resilience model explores the assets and relationships which places have between the public, commercial, and social sectors and how these shape the functioning of their economies. The inter-relationship model explores these connections further by identifying the extent to which places are reliant or otherwise upon neighbouring places for these assets and relationships.
